Distracted by eyeTV

So I got the TV box going on my iMac and now it sits with channel 705 showing Big Brother whilst I try and work.

This is my first posting from the new machine and so far it seems good. I also got my camera charged and an account to host some pics - so here is one of me:

Call me Mac Daddy

At last after a stressful day at work, my Mac is here! It took several phone calls and a trip to Luton to get it all, but it is here and sitting in front of me. I can’t use it mind – for one thing I have not got a clue what to do on it, and secondly it’s doing some update thingy, which is taking absolutely ages! Nevermind! From here on in I am Mac and will learn it, use it, abuse it and love it! I love you iMac.

Weed Man!

Why do gardeners have to spend so much time killing? If its not slugs and snails I am digging out healthy growing plants – its unbelievable! I spent all morning pulling out weeds just to try and find the veggies that I planted four weeks ago in a nice clear patch of ground.

Said Goodbye to an unknown friend

I was in Tesco this morning with Olivia. The normal deal – she wants everything – I say no! My friend on the till Leanne – well actually I only know her from the till – said she is leaving tomorrow. College commitments are getting too much and her boss won’t let her off. It will be sad really as she is the only reason I shop there! Nevermind!

Doctor Who this evening – great it was – always good – ok so I am a nerd – I don’t care! I love Billie Piper – cute!

Big Brother on E4 sucks!

Ok so I am a sad git watching BB yet again. I made protest last year and only saw a couple under duress, but even then I got the bug again. This year is no exception and on they paraded for another couple of months of boredom, yet I still watch and am drawn to the TV for just a couple more minutes longer. Sam is my favourite, but only because she is fit. I think Mary comes second best, but don’t tell anyone!

I can’t believe E4 last night though. We saw one story – people talking – boring! And another was unfolding out of camera shot with the girls getting changed – they could have shown it! I was getting quite frustrated waiting for them to dip into the pool, but all we got was the others talking. How crap is that?

Keeping them spirits up!

Not such a good day as they gave my job that I have been doing for the past year as a contractor / consultant, to a person that does not have a clue – it’s a case of sink baby sink! Nevermind! Spoke with the boss and there are still options – perhaps even better anyway.

I am waiting for my 20’ G5 iMac to arrive – seems like weeks now. This is funny because the I have read many similar blogs from people in the same situation. Its come from Shanghai, and has been all over the world. When I phoned Apple today they gave me the TNT number and they assure me it will be with me on Tuesday – exactly when they originally said it would be. Ce la vi

I saw my friend SP today who I am very attached to – if only she knew the truth. When I get my camera I will snap a pic of her for you.

Listening to the new U2 album whilst writing and waiting for Big Brother to start. It’s the first time I have heard it and it is kicking!

Space, the Universe and Dusty Bin

Ok so profanity does not come that easy. I guess I will just talk about my interesting life instead….

Tonight I went to a seminar about space rubbish. Have you heard of it? Well it is all the bits from (mainly) satellites and rockets that have finished their job and just hang around. What is worse is that they travel at 15 kilometres per second – that is dammed quick - about seven time the speed of a bullet! If they hit other object they not only wreck havoc on their target, but potentially they create more rubbish. And the nub of it is: they can do nothing about it. It makes you wonder about the real cost of Sky TV?

New beginnings or just old rambles in a new wrapping?

So here I am posting my first message. I am not sure if I am in the right place – it seems awfully quiet here. Where are all the other blogs? I tried to see them from the home page but alas nothing!
